The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal approved a settlement agreement between five container operators and the FAS of Russia in the case of cartels, TASS reports. Details of the settlement agreement are not disclosed.

The plaintiffs in this case were A.P.Moller-Maersk A/S (Denmark), CMA CGM SA (France), Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., LTD (Korea), Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (Hong Kong) and Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd (Taiwan). They challenged the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of December 15, 2015, according to which the companies were found guilty of establishing surcharges to freight rates in the market of linear container transportation to the Far East/Southeast Asia — Russian Federation (Saint Petersburg, Ust-Luga).
