In January 2018, 317.5 thousand TEU containers were transported via the Russian Railways network, which is 11.3% more than in the same period of 2017.

In the internal message , 134.5 thousand were sent . DFE (+5.9%), in transit – 34.3 thousand. DFE (+32.1%), in export – 85.5 thousand. DFE (+11.2%), in imported – 63.2 thousand. DFE (+14%).

Transportation of loaded containers in all types of communication in January increased by 12% compared to the previous year and amounted to 200.8 thousand TEU, including:

• chemicals and soda – 36 thousand. DFE (+6.8% compared to January 2017);
• paper – 24.7 thousand (+8.1%);
• forest cargo – 22.8 thousand (+28.1%);
• industrial goods – 20.8 thousand (+13.9%);
• hardware – 17 thousand (+21.1%);
• cars – 14.7 thousand (+13.9%);
• machines, machines, engines – 12.9 thousand (+31.3%);
• non–ferrous metals - 8,8 thousand (+3,7%);
• ferrous metals – 8.4 thousand (+12.5%);
• construction – 4 thousand (at the level of last year);
• the rest and national teams – 5.4 thousand (+8.8%);
• chemical and mineral fertilizers – 5.5 thousand (+4.9%).

In total, 2.9 million tons of cargo were transported in containers via the Russian Railways network in January 2018, which is 9.9% more than in the same period last year.
